Denise Meyers knew she wanted
to grow up to be a writer when she read Beverly Cleary's The Mouse
and the Motorcysle for an elementary schoo book report. An avid
rader, Denise has immersed herself in thousands of books and magaznes
over the years, enjoying almost all of them, but has always had
a special place in her heart for Erma Bombeck's humor.
Although reading and writing fiction
is her dream job, Denise's first sales were feature articls to variouis
travel magazines. Seeing her name in print prompted her to join
Pennwriter, Inc., a writing organization in Pennsylvania where she
now serves as President. She's sold short stories to various nationa
magazines including Woman's World, The Sun, and Coutnry Woman, articles
and interviews to Writer's Market, Writer's Novel and Short Story
Market, Poet's Market, Byline and Novel Writer magazine, and a romance
novel, Driven to Love, to Hard Sehll Word Factory.
Denise lives in rural Pennsylvania
with her husband, youngest daughter, one small, ugly dog, and too
many cats. Her older children are pursuin their dreams in other
parts of the country, a fact she applauds, even while missing them
and her two grandchildren.
